Recovered Travel Box, curved top
This box was recovered from abandonment. It constructed pine and was originally covered with seal skin decorated with brass tacks and was a ‘coach top’ travel case from the nineteenth century. The top handle and latch are original. The clasps and end handle have been added. Finish is wax on raw wood.
The box measures 11” by 20” by 8” deep.
